Outline

PurposeThese fellowships provide outstanding early-career researchers in Japan with opportunities to pursue innovative topics of their own choosing. The program aims to foster creative scholars who will ultimately be the future leaders in their fields.

Eligibility

Required: Enrollment in a doctoral course in Japan*1
No nationality requirement for DC applicants

  • DC1: Enrolled in the first year or the equivalent of a doctoral course*2
  • DC2: Enrolled in the second or third year or the equivalent of a doctoral course*2
